In July this year, we have 5 days available on the holiday programme in week one of the school holidays.

So join Island Bay United’s Holiday Football Programme for all primary and intermediate school players and get in some training during the July Holidays. Get in quick to work with our Coaching and Development Manager, Martin Garcia for 5 days that will be filled with fun and football as always.

The holiday programme is NZF sanctioned through the Capital Football Federation with  several very experienced and well qualified coaches – so it’s fun but quality.

Registration and Sign In

Registration is online via these forms, and includes agreement to a liability waiver. We need parents to supply emergency contact numbers, medical information and to agree to the waiver. We prefer if parents can drop the children off and sign them in for the day, as we also need to know how your child is to be picked up and by whom.

Please arrive 15 minutes before the session starts.

Pick must be no later than 3pm.

What do I need to bring?

  • enthusiasm!
  • turf shoes or boots (both work well on the turf)
  • shin pads
  • trackies, hoodies, beanies, jackets (all named) etc in case the weather gets hotter or colder or wetter – just typical Wellington. If it rains we do not cancel, the programme will be based inside the clubrooms until weather allows us outside again.

You will need to supply your own lunch. Please come prepared as the club café will not be open.

Our experience is that unless the weather is really horrible the kids want to play outside so a change of dry clothes is a good thing to bring if there is rain about.

What will be supplied?

  • Great coaches – depending on exact numbers a ratio of approximately one coach to 15 children is our aim.
  • Balls – We’ve got plenty

What will we do?
This is a holiday programme. The emphasis is on having fun and playing lots of football. We will do our best to place friends and similar ages / skills together.

Each session will have a warm up, a skills session, a short morning / afternoon tea break and a game.  Mostly we hope the kids will have fun with their friends, and make new ones.

Payment can be made into the club account.
