Liberato Cacace makes All Whites Intercontinental Cup Squad

Liberato Cacace, a product of Island Bay United, is one of two new players to be named in the All Whites squad for the Intercontinental Cup to be played in India next month.

2018 has seen the year 13 St Patrick’s College student rise quickly through the ranks, making his Phoenix debut late in the season before becoming a regular in the Phoenix starting line up.

Cacace is now part of a 23 player squad named by All Whites coach Fritz Schmid, scheduled to play hosts India, Chinese Taipei, and Kenya.

Their tournament opener is against Kenya next Saturday [2.30am Sunday NZ time].

The Island Bay United community congratulates Liberato and his family on his selection and wishes him well for a successful debut.
